The current IRS Tax Code contains approximately 7 times more words than the Bible. That level of complexity makes it nearly impossible for individuals and businesses to easily pay taxes. Without professional tax services and computer based tax preparation programs, the individual has little chance of successfully navigating the IRS code. Hard working Americans lives are ruined everyday over improperly paid taxes.

Fair Tax – Consumption Tax

I fully support the Fair Tax.  Our current tax system is unmanageable and unsustainable.

Equality is the true measure of fairness. Our Federal tax system should be used for balancing the Government’s check book, not social engineering. At present, our government taxes activities they deem 'inappropriate' (gas guzzler tax) and rewards activities they deem acceptable (hybrids). We should adopt a simple tax collection system that applies to everyone, equally.  While the Fair Tax is not 100% perfect (no system is) it is far better than the current system.
